Manchester United are reportedly holding talks with the agents of Celta Vigo starlet Stefan Bajcetic over a potential move to Old Trafford.
The 16-year-old currently plays for Vigo’s B team, with the defender featuring on two occasions during the 2020-21 season.
According to La Voz de Galicia, the highly-rated centre-back could be heading for the Red Devils in the nearby future as his agents are locked in talks over a move to Old Trafford.
The report suggested that a deal will not be concluded until a compensation fee is agreed with Spanish outfits, with Bajcetic’s agent insisting that the Spanish team are rewarded for his client’s development.
The defender’s form at youth level are believed to have attracted the attention of the Premier League top team, who could look to close a deal in the coming weeks when the transfer window will be re-opened.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are reportedly keen to part ways with South American duo Marcos Rojo and Sergio Romero when the transfer window will be re-opened in January.
Despite both players entering the final years of their current deals earlier in 2020, the Red Devils were unable to attract a suitable bid for their services in the summer.
However, according to The Athletic, the Red Devils CEO Ed Woodward is looking to get the Argentine pair off the wage bill as soon as possible.
