The former Celtic head coach Brendan Rodgers, who has already taken charge at Leicester City, reportedly wants The Hoops left-back Kieran Tierney in the summer transfer window.
The 21-year-old rising star has told The Daily Record that he is not considering a move to Leicester City. Brendan Rodgers left his managerial job at Celtic last month and is now in charge of Leicester in the Premier League.
Keiran Tierney is one of the best young left-backs across Europe, and the talented youngster flourished under Rodgers.
As per the reports from The Scottish Sun, the Scotland international is one of the most demanded players by Rodgers at Leicester.
It was claimed recently that the former Liverpool manager is ready to launch a £25m bid for the left-back in the summer transfer window if The Foxes current starting left-back Ben Chilwell leaves for Manchester City.
However, Keiran Tierney has made it clear that he’s not planning to leave Celtic for Leicester.
During his interview with the Daily Record, the young Scot said: “There are going to be rumours like that. I’ve seen and heard them as well. I’ve been on the end of speculation for a few transfer windows so it’s nothing different for me. It doesn’t take my mind off Celtic.
“My pals ask me too and there will be links with a lot of Celtic players. It’s natural because it’s his old club but it’s nothing I know of.”
