Chelsea would reportedly consider allowing Jorginho to make a switch to their Premier League rivals Arsenal this summer if the Blues manage to get the deal done for Declan Rice in the latter stages of the current transfer window.
Arsenal have recently linked with a move for Jorginho who has been identified as a perfect replacement to Matteo Guendouzi and Lucas Torreira as both of them have been tipped with a departure from the Emirates Stadium before the October 5.
Rice is allegedly still a leading transfer target for the Blues as Lampard urging his side ‘to make one last push’ for the Englishman and secure his services on the deadline day.
Jorginho has worn the armband in both of his side’s Premier League games this campaign, however, a recent report claimed that Arsenal are determined to agree deal for Italian playmkaer.
According to The Mirror, should Lampard’s team manage to land Declan Rice from the Hammers then Jorginho could complete a move to the Emirates Stadium.
The North London club have also been strongly linked with Atletico Madrid’s Thomas Partey and Lyon’s Houssem Aouar as head coach Mikel Arteta keen on to strengthen his midfield area.
Chelsea will travel to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday afternoon, while Arsenal face Liverpool at Anfield.
