Premier League giants Chelsea playmaker Ross Barkley has reportedly emerged as a shock transfer target for West Ham United.
While Ross Barkley has endured a stop-start season, the Englishman has recently recovered from injury to make successive starts for Frank Lampard’s side.
However, his long-term future at the Blues remains uncertain given the competition in the middle of the pitch.
According to The Mirror, the West London club and their new manager David Moyes are keen to secure a loan deal for the playmaker, who has previously worked with him at Everton.
The Scot is eager to bring in a new playmaker before the end of the January transfer window as he bids to move the Hammers up the English top-tier table.
As it stands, the West London club have little interest in entertaining any offers for the 26-year-old English attacker who has been dubbed to have a brilliant career, however, has never reached the level the fans expected from him.
Despite his struggles in the Premier League recent years he still has skills to be a leader at West Ham United and his relationship with Moyes could help the Hammers to get the deal done for English playmaker.
