Chelsea midfield destroyer N’Golo Kante has his heart set on a move to La Liga giants Real Madrid amid a frosty relationship with head-coach Frank Lampard, according to the reports.
The World Cup-winning midfielder has started all four of Chelsea’s Premier League matches in the 2020-21 season, despite seeing his future at Stamford Bridge called into question on a couple of occasions during the current transfer window.
While N’Golo Kante did not secure a departure from Stamford Bridge in the most recent transfer window, the ex-Leicester City midfielder has supposedly views his future away from Premier League giants.
According to Le Parisien, Kante’s relationship with Frank Lampard has become strained and the 29-year-old midfielder is open to depart from the Blues, with the Bernabeu being his favoured destination.
The report suggests that N’Golo Kante’s standing with Lampard took a hit after the Blues head-coach refused to allow the French anchorman to miss training for a friend’s wedding, and the France international could start seeking a way out as early as January.
Kante’s current contract at Stamford Bridge is set to end in 2023, and Serie A giants Inter Milan have also been previously credited with an interest in the two-time Premier League winner.
