Aston Villa are interested in landing Ruben Loftus-Cheek from Chelsea in the summer transfer window of 2021, according to a report by TEAMtalk.
It has been reported that the Villa and Crystal Palace are leading the hunt for Loftus-Cheek, who is on loan at Fulham from the Blues at the moment.
The report has added that the England star is not in the long-term plans of the west London heavyweights and that Villa assistant manager and Blues icon John Terry is a huge fan.
Fulham are likely to get relegated to the EFL Championship at the end of the campaign, and it is hard to see Ruben play in the second division.
If Chelsea do not want the England international at the club, then a move to Dean Smith’s side would make sense, but at the right price.
They could be challenging for the European places in the Premier League standings on a regular basis in the coming years.
Ruben is a very dynamic midfielder who can play in an attacking position or in a more conservative role.
He has made 21 starts and five substitute appearances in the top-flight for Fulham so far this season, netting one goal in the process.
