Serie A giants, AC Milan have reportedly stepped up in their pursuit of Chelsea’s anchorman Tiemoue Bakayoko.

The French midfielder is not believed to be part of Frank Lampard’s plans at the West London club and is expected to depart from the London giants ahead of the next season.

Bakayoko has spent each of the last two campaigns out on loan, representing Italian heavyweights during the 2018-19 season before making a loan move back to AS Monaco, playing 23 games in his second spell with the principality side.

The 25-year-old has since made a return to Stamford Bridge, but according to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Italian giants boss Stefano Pioli is huge admirer of Frenchman and they are closing in on the secure services of the Frenchman.

Di Marzio reports that the Italian giants are looking to ‘make the final steps’ in finalising a move for a player who has less than two years left on his current deal.

Bakayoko has found back of the net three times and provided three assists in 43 appearances  for his current club and with the addition Frank Lampard made this summer it seems unlikely to see him at Stamford Bridge for the 2020/21 season.
