Chelsea will not sell Brazilian winger Willian to their direct Premier Leaue rivals Manchester United.
That’s according to ESPN FC pundit and former West Ham goalkeeper Shaka Hislop.
The Red Devils have been strongly linked with securing the services of the Brazilian forward, who struggled to nail down a starting spot in Antonio Conte lineup.
Man Utd head-coach, Jose Mourinho, is keen to raid Chelsea for the second consecutive summer, having snatched Nemanja Matic last year.
The Serbian enjoyed a stunning debut season at Old Trafford and his success may be enough for the Blues to block Willian’s transfer to their direct Premier League rivals.
However, Hislop is convinced that the Blues will be wary about strengthening their direct rivals with one of the best wingers in Premier League.
“Willian has been heavily linked with Manchester United,” he said.
“I think it would be a perfect fit, along with the signing of Fred at Manchester United.
“I think it adds to the strength of the Manchester United squad, if they can get Willian.
“But now it’s a little bit of a catch 22. You see how well Nemanja Matic did in his switch from Stamford Bridge to Old Trafford.
“Now, you’re tempted to say Willian would do the exact same.
“But if you’re Chelsea you’re thinking ‘we’re not going to make that same mistake twice’.
