Real Madrid defensive midfielder Mateo Kovacic has remained coy on his future amid growing speculation he could depart from Santiago Bernabeu.
Croatia international midfielder who could feature for his national team to take on England in their World Cup semi-final, fuelled talk of a transfer himself at the end of the 2017-18 campaign when he revealed he will consider a summer move.
While he was handed starting sport in key Champions League ties against PSG and in El Classico Kovacic’s first-team minutes have been limited.
‘I want to play more and the best thing is to leave Madrid,’ he told Marca in June. ‘If I do not play, I am not happy.’
Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea have all been credited with an interest in the Croatian midfielder with Serie A giants Inter Milan and Juventus also offer him an escape route.
AS report Real Madrid do not plan to listen to offers for a player who is believed to be a top target for Chelsea and Manchester United for the next season.
But once again, Croatian midfielder has failed to provide any assurances.
When asked if he wants to continue at Real next campaign, he was quoted as saying by the same publication: ‘Let’s see.’
