Chelsea have reportedly identified Villarreal’s left-back Alfonso Pedraza as a potential transfer target for the summer.
The Blues are currently well-stocked at the defensive end onf the left-flan with Ben Chilwell, Emerson Palmieri and Marcos Alonso all options for German manager, Thomas Tuchel.
However, Palmieri and Alonso may leave from Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, potentially freeing up space in the West London club’s first-team squad.
According to CaughtOffside, the Blues are taking an interest in Pedraza, who is believed to have a £35m release clause in his current deal.
The 25-year-old, a former loanee with Leeds United, has played 38 games for Villarreal in all competitions this campaign.
Inter Milan and Barcelona are also believed to be keeping tabs on the situation of a player who only penned a new deal in September.
Meanwhile, Chelsea and Manchester United are reportedly planning a close tabs on Brighton & Hove Albion wonderkid Andrew Moran, who is currently playing for the Seagulls’ U-18 side.
Moran moved to the South coast from Bray Wanderers earlier last summer, founding back of the net 11 times and providing as many assists to help his team to third in the U18s Southern Premier League.
The 17-year-old midfielder is believed to be close to breaking into Graham Potter’s first-team squad after strong interest from some of the Premier League’s top teams.
TEAMtalk claims that Man Utd and Chelsea have been keeping tabs on the Irishman for the last few months, with both teams are keen to claim strong academy setups.
