Chelsea will reportedly not make a summer move to secure services of Real Madrid full-back Achraf Hakimi during the upcoming transfer window.
The West London club have recently been rumoured with the 21-year-old defender, who has managed to found back of the net 10 times and provided eight assists in 40 games while on loan at German giants Borussia Dortmund this campaign.
Hakimi is due to make a return to Santiago Bernabeu in the summer, and a number of teams are believed to be interested in securing his services ahead of the 2020-21 season.
However, according to The Athletic, the Blues have abandoned their pursuit of the Morocco international defender due to the fine form of Reece James.
The 20-year-old defender has excelled during a loan spell at Wigan Athletic last campaign and has been involved for his parent team during the 2019-20 season, playing 26 games in all competitions.
James has signed a new five-year deal with the West London club earlier this year and Frank Lampard is believed to a huge fan of his talent planning to involve him more in his plans for the next season.
