Chelsea have reportedly decided to not prioritise a summer move for the Belgium international Eden Hazard.
Earlier this week, reports in Spain stated that the former Blues key man is looking to leave Real Madrid at the end of the campaign and his preference is to return to Stamford Bridge.
Hazard left Chelsea in a £130 million deal two years ago but has struggled with injuries during his time in Madrid.
The 30-year-old star was able to start only seven matches in La Liga this season, while Los Blancos ended the season without a trophy for the first time since 2010.
According to the Sunday World, Thomas Tuchel’s side have been made aware of Eden’s desire to move back to the west London.
But it’s claimed that his return is not considered a priority by the club’s hierarchy and they are exploring the possibility of signing a world-class centre-forward instead.
The English giants have already ruled themselves out of the race for Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland this summer because of the high cost of signing the 20-year-old from BVB.
Chelsea are now said to have made Romelu Lukaku one of their top choices ahead of the upcoming market and are monitoring his situation at Inter Milan.
