Chelsea could replace Diego Costa with 29-year-old incredible centre-forward

Manchester United and Chelsea dream target Robert Lewandowski has been involved in a row with Bayern Munich over their ambition in the transfer market following links regarding Premier League move earlier in the summer.

The 29-year-old superstar is a key figure in this Bayern Munich, but doesn’t seem entirely settled at the club after also criticising his team-mates at the end of last season.

At that time, the Poland international was quoted as saying he was unhappy at missing out on the Bundesliga top scorer award on the final day of the campaign, slamming his colleagues for not doing more to help him score in the last match.

Lewandowski has since followed that up by telling Der Spiegel: ‘Bayern has to come up with something new and creative, if the club wants to keep luring world class players to Munich. And if you want to keep up at the very highest level, you need these players’ quality.’

Bayern had a quiet summer in comparison to some of the money thrown around by the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona, but chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge was not happy with Lewandowski’s comments.

In a move that could further the tensions between the club and the player at the moment, the Bayern chief attempted to put him in his place and demand a bit more loyalty.

‘It would be a pity, if he actually saw it that way. Loyalty is part of Bayern’s DNA and very important to our fans,’ Rummenigge told Bild.

‘For a long time now we have a serious and successful philosophy that brought us big success. I stick with our chancellor who said the fees should be regulated and reduced.
