Manchester United have reportedly asked La Liga giants Valencia to name the price for Joao Cancelo.
The right-back is coveted by Serie A giants Inter Milan after spending the 2018/19 season in Italy on a season-long loan deal, while Chelsea are believed to have kept tabs on Cancelo for a long time.
Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte are believed to be both on the hunt for new full-backs this summer.
Man Utd having relied on natural attackers Antonio Valencia and Ashley Youn for much of his tenure at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils are reportedly close to completing the transfer of Porto youngster Diogo Dalot. However, Tuttosport reported that Mourinho is also interested in bringing Cancelo at Old Trafford.
Meanwhile, Chelsea sees Cancelo as a perfect replacement for Victor Moses.
The 24-year-old could cost upwards of £31million. However, the Red Devils are ready to meet Valencia’s asking price.
Man Utd also have the added advantage of Cancelo being a client of Jorge Mendes who has been a close friend of Jose Mourinho and his agent.
Cancelo impressed for Inter while on loan, playing 29 games and providing four assists from 24-year-old star.
United are expected to sign several defenders like Chelsea, but the Reds seems to be favourites to secure his services.
As well as being linked with a move for defensive midfielder Fred, the Reds are also thought to be in talks with Spurs defender Toby Alderweireld
