According to the reports, Chelsea are considering West Ham United goalkeeper Joe Hart as a stop-gap replacement for Thibaut Courtois when the Belgian leaves the club.
As Spanish football expert Guillem Balague insists, UCL holders Real Madrid have reportedly decided to change their two shot-stopper before next season. Real Madrid looked set to sign Kepa Arrizabalaga but he ended up signing a lengthy contract to stay at Athletic Bilbao.
On the other side, Manchester United star David de Gea is one long-term target for the La Liga champions and 25-year-old Courtois is the other. The Belgian’s current deal is worth around £100,000-a-week and expires in 18 months’ time.
In May last year, the west London giants have made Courtois an offer that was rejected as it did not meet his £200,000-a-week demands. Real Madrid firmly believe that the former Atletico star, whose two children live in Madrid, is willing to make a move to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Courtois’ departure would be a huge blow for the Blues, but The Sun claim they are interested in bringing 30-year-old Joe Hart to Stamford Bridge.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has exiled Hart. He spent last season in Italy with Torino before heading to West Ham last summer on loan.
