Chelsea have reportedly been handed a massive blow in their efforts to secure the services of Bayern Munich centre-back Niklas Sule.
West London giants head coach Thomas Tuchel is considering his options in the transfer market after guiding them to the Champions League title.
Sule, who was not always a regular under Hansi Flick, has allegedly been placed on the shortlist of possible arrivals at Stamford Bridge.
However, according to Bild, newly-appointed Bayern Munich, head-coach Julian Nagelsmann is keen to secure the services of the 25-year-old a new deal.
The Germany international currently has 12 months left on his current deal, leaving Bayern Munich in a position where they are keen to avoid a similar situation to what they have just experienced with Real Madrid-bound full-back David Alaba.
The Bundesliga giants are reportedly happy to secure the services of Sule a one-year extension on his existing terms, keeping him at the Allianz Arena until 2023.
Meanwhile, Chelsea eyeing a move for another Bayern Munich star Kingsley Koman who has been tipped to make a departure from the Alianz Arena ahead of the next season.
