Ajax’s Jurrien Timber has been scouted by Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea, among others, according to a recent report by 90min.
The 20-year-old Dutchman has made six appearances for his country’s national team, having also been called up to compete in the UEFA Euro 2020 tournament over the summer.
After a poor few years for the Netherlands, they’ll now look to rebuild and return to glory years, via the interesting crop of stars that are beginning to break through.
Jurrien is one of those, with his performances for his team clearly having captured the attention of multiple of Europe’s biggest names.
According to 90min, the Blues and Spurs have both scouted Timber and are keeping a close eye on his situation.
The report also states that Paris Saint-Germain, RB Leipzig, Borussia Dortmund, Monaco and Lyon as other potential suitors.
He has four years remaining on his de Joden contract, as per Transfermarkt, which does provide the Eredivisie giants with significant bargaining power, were the time to come to sell.
There is currently no suggestion that Thomas Tuchel’s side, the Lilywhites or anyone else has firmed up their reported interest with an official proposal, with the transfer market having only closed last week.
