Chelsea are reportedly now the favourites to secure the services of Aston Villa skipper Jack Grealish this summer.
The 25-year-old, who is currently with the England team at Euro 2020, enjoyed a stunning 2020-21 season for Villa, founding back of the net seven times and provided 12 assists in 27 appearances in all competitions.
Grealish still has more than four years before his contract expires, to run on his deal at Villa Park, but talk of a summer exit has surfaced once again, with Man Utd and Man City again being credited with an interest.
According to Fichajes, though, Chelsea have now emerged as the favourites to secure the midfielder’s services during this summer’s transfer window.
Grealish struggled with a shin injury in the latter stages of last campaign, however, did return to feature in Villa’s final four Premier League games against Everton, Crystal Palace, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.
The attacker also started both of England’s pre-Euro 2020 friendlies games against Austria and Romania, however, was an unused substitute for the 1-0 win over Croatia in the team’s tournament opener on Sunday afternoon.
Jack Grealish and Mason Mount have been good friends and it could help the Blues to get the deal done for Aston Villa midfielder.
