Chelsea Liverpool, Manchester City and Man Utd have all held transfer talks to secure the services of Bayer Leverkusen playmaker Kai Havertz, according to the reports from Germany.
The 20-year-old is considered as one of the most promising players in the Bundesliga and has attracted strong interest from hosts of European teams.
Havertz has already played 98 games in the Bundesliga, founding back of the net 26 times and provided 20 assists, while he also has seven senior caps for Joakim Lowe’s national team.
According to Bild, German midfielder will depart from Bayer Leverkusen at the end of the campaign and the midfielder is currently negotiating with seven teams.
Four teams from the English top-tier – Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City – have all made approaches along with Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
However, due to the high level of interest, Bayer Leverkusen have set a €130 million (£111m) price tag on the player.
Speaking to Spanish newspaper Marca earlier this month, German midfielder has insisted that he was capable of making the transition from Germany top-tier to England.
‘I think I’ve picked up enough international experience at Leverkusen,’ he said.
‘I know the rhythm of these international matches and I’m confident that I can go abroad at any moment and play at clubs outside of Germany.
‘For the moment, I want to have a good season. Afterwards, we’ll see.’
