Premier League giants Arsenal and Chelsea reportedly hold an interest in signing of Bayern Munich centre-back Jerome Boateng.
With both London giants having been less than impressive at the back this campaign, defensive additions are expected to be made when the transfer window will be re-opened in the summer.
According to FootMercato, Arsenal and Chelsea have identified Germany world-cup winning defender, Boateng as a potential target.
Despite playing only 21 games in the German top-tier and Champions League this campaign, the 31-year-old centre-back has previously spoken about taking on a new challenge and Premier League though to be his favoured destination.
As a result of just over a year left on his current deal with Bayern Munich, the former Manchester City has been an attractive option for London giants who are in need for defensive reinforcements.
Bayern Munich may also be open to cashing in on their long-serving defender in order to raise funds for new players reports from Germany claim that the Bavarians are keen on to strengthen their midfield area with Kai Havertz and offensive end by signing RB Leipzig key man Timo Werner who has been in stunning form this season scoring 27-goals for German outfits.
