Chelsea identified 6 ft 2 French midfielder as top transfer target

Premier League giants, Chelsea have reportedly identified Juventus playmaker Adrien Rabiot as a potential transfer target ahead of the January window.

At a time when head coach Thomas Tuchel is not short of options in the middle of the pitch, Spanish midfielder Saul Niguez has been the player to miss out on most occasions.

The Atletico Madrid loanee’s lack of game time has led to rumours that he may return to his parent club at the midway point of the season.

According to Calciomercato, Thomas Tuchel would take an interest in securing the services of Adrien Rabiot should the West London giants be able to part ways with Saul Niguez.

Despite playing 11 games in Serie A and the Champions League this campaign, the Frenchman has not always impressed returning boss Massimiliano Allegri.

Juventus are also in a position where they are not against reducing their wage bill, with former Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey also being tipped to leave Turin at the turn of the year.

Chelsea also eyeing a move for another Juventus star Dejan Kulusevski who is believed to be open to playing in the Premier League and could consider departure from Juventus Stadium in the summer.
