Chelsea and Manchester United are reportedly set to miss out signing of AC Milan stopper, Gianluigi Donnarumma as the Italian star plans to stay at AC Milan.
The Premier League giants have both been tipped to move for the promising stopper, who has already played close to 250 games for AC Milan despite only being 22-years-old.
Donnarumma set to become a free agent after the end of the current season, however, talkSPORT claims that the youngster has been persuaded to sign a new long-term deal with Italian giants in order to fend off interest from Premier League teams.
It is reported that Donnarumma will earn up to £6m annually when he agrees to sign a new improved contract with AC Milan.
That would also be a major blow for Serie A rivals Juventus, having themselves been touted as a possible destination for the Naples-born stopper.
AC Milan star, Hakan Calhanoglu is also out of contract in the summer, though Milan did manage to tie veteran forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic to a one-year extension last week.
Chalhanoglu has been also a transfer target for Manchester United and Chelesa with both teams are planning to strengthen their midfield options ahead of the next season.
