According to A Bola, Porto full-back Alex Telles is poised to sign a new five-year contract with the Portuguese giants.
The newspaper reports that Chelsea, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain have all been interested in signing the left-back, but he now looks set to stay at the Estadio do Dragao until 2023.
The Brazilian’s current release clause is reportedly worth €40 million, but A Bola reports that the number will raise to €50m (£44.6m) in his new contract.
The defender has started the 2018/19 season in a rich vein of form, with one goal and two assists from his first four league matches.
With Marcos Alonso having become the Blues’ first choice left-back, a move for another high profile player in that position would be unlikely, considering how highly the 27-year-old is rated by Maurizio Sarri.
However, has not even featured in a matchday squad so far this term, so a move for another fullback in the future is not completely out of the question.
As Dejan Lovren is set to return in late October while the Spanish defender Moreno is said to be the target of Barcelona.
