Denis Suarez’s agent Felix Gende has claimed that Barcelona will not grant the midfielder a move away from the club in January.
The 24-year-old Spaniard who has been strongly heavily with a switch to Chelsea and Arsenal in the recent weeks, while Marseille have also emerged as a possible destination for him.
Suarez, restricted to appearances in cup games this season, admitted after the Catlans Copa del Rey victory over Cultural Leonesa – a game in which he found back of the net twice – that he is unhappy with his lack of first-team minutes.
Amid talk of Chelsea and Arsenal preparing a cash offer for the Spaniard, however, agent Gende has cast doubt on a mid-season departure from Nou Camp.
“I think it is difficult for Denis to leave FC Barcelona this winter, either by means of a loan or a transfer,” he told Fichajes
“Marseille has never called us. It’s a complicated situation, but he has confidence in his work to reverse the trend.”
Suarez rejoined Barcelona from La Liga outfit Villarreal back in 2016 and has played 44 games for the Catalan club in the Spanish top-tier.
