Watford attacking midfielder Roberto Pereyra has reportedly attracted interest from top teams Chelsea in recent months, however, Torino appears to be expressing the strongest desire to secure his services.
The Argentine midfielder’s agent revealed that Chelsea were among the teams keen to land him last month, however, the Hornets stayed firm and did not let him depart from the club.
However, rumours surrounding the ex-Juventus man’s future has continued to emerge, with reports from Italy stating that Torino are still keen on to sign him after reportedly pursuing his services in the summer.
The report indicates that Pereyra would be open to swapping the Premier League for a return to Italy at the end of the current campaign, however, he is desperate to play in European competitions next season.
Torino are stated to be some way off Watford’s valuation of the player, however, will also need to qualify for either the Champions League or the Europa League if they are to convince him to move back in the Italian top-tier.
The Blues may be keeping tabs on Pereyra’s situation with keen interest, as Walter Mazzarri’s side are long-term admirers of the player.
