Chelsea in strong position of signing 29-year-old Real Madrid star

According to the Spanish media sources, Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale is keen on a transfer to Manchester United but La Liga giants would rather sell the forward to their Premier League rivals Chelsea.

The 29-year-old former Tottenham Hotspur winger has long been linked with a return to the Premier League and Bale has his eye on a move to Old Trafford.

As per the Marca, Both Chelsea and Man United are understood to have expressed an interest in bringing the speedy Welshman back to England this summer, but Los Blancos would prefer to do business with the Blues.

Chelsea and Real Madrid have a good working relationship and the mega transfer deal could be influenced by Madrid’s pursuit of the Blues No.10 Eden Hazard.

Gareth Bale moved to the Santiago Bernabeu from Tottenham back in 2013 and has won four Champions League trophies but time is running out for Real Madrid to recoup a large portion of the £86m transfer fee they paid to bring him to La Liga.

The Spanish giants believe they can cash in on the Wales international, whose current contract deal expires in 2022, this summer for a hefty fee and are keen to thrash a deal with one of the Premier League giants.

Real Madrid are hoping to sell Gareth Bale for £131m but it’s unknown if the two clubs would be willing to fork out so much.
