Chelsea reportedly offered English midfielder, Ruben Loftus-Cheek to West Ham United on loan before the end of the summer window to make room for the new arrival Saul Niguez.
Loftus-Cheek struggled for action with the West London giants, in the early stages of the season, however, has now been involved in five of his side’s last six games in all competitions.
The 25-year-old was handed a start against the Saints in the Premier League, meanwhile, and provided an assist in his side’s 3-1 success.
According to The Sun, Thomas Tuchel’s side offered their academy graduate, Loftus-Cheek to West Ham on deadline day in August, however, the Hammers turned down the chance to add him as they managed to keep Declan Rice at the club despite strong interest from hosts of top European clubs including Chelsea and Manchester United.
The England international spent last campaign on loan at Fulham in the Premier League, playing 32 games in all competitions before returning to Stamford Bridge.
The midfielder’s deal in the English capital is set to expire in the summer of 2024 and in January he might be keen on leaving the club on loan to secure regular first-team football somewhere else.
