Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko has admitted that he wants to remain at AC Milan once his loan spell ends at San Siro.
The French defensive midfielder has struggled to settle in the London club during his maiden season with Chelsea and has spent the last five months at Italian giants.
Following a slow start to his AC Milan career, Frenchman has produced some good displays of late and there is talk of a permanent arrangement between the Blues and Rossoneri.
AC Milan must pay around £31m to secure the services of the 24-year-old midfielder at the end of the current campaign, which sporting director Leonardo recently claimed that the club will only be able to afford if they qualify for the UCL.
Bakayoko has made it clear that it would be a “dream” to stay in Milan, telling Corriere dello Sport: “I heard what Leonardo said, but I’m not in a position to talk about it.
“It’s an issue that concerns Milan and Chelsea. Staying at Milan is my dream and the fixed thought in my mind, but I have a contract with Chelsea. Right now I just want to finish the season in the top four. After that we’ll think about it.”
Frenchman has featured in 15 of fourth-placed AC Milan’s 21 Serie A games this season.
