Crystal Palace have reportedly revived their interest in the signing of Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi after missing out on Liverpool star Dominic Solanke.
Eagles head-coach Roy Hodgson has confirmed on Wednesday evening that his side are on the lookout for a new forward following Solanke’s collapsed switch to Selhurst Park.
According to the Daily Mail, Belgian forward is among the alternatives being considered by former England national team manager Hodgson, with the Belgium international expected to make an early return from his underwhelming spell at Valencia.
Batshuayi has scored just one goal in 14 La Liga games and is no longer regular pick up top, but the Eagles are willing to take a punt as their desperate search for a new forward continues.
Fellow the Blues attacker Tammy Abraham, who has thrived during his latest spell in the Championship with Aston Villa, is another rumoured option.
Meanwhile, Domenic Solanke seems to leave Liverpool in January and it is believed that Bundesliga could be his next destination.
