Chelsea are reportedly planning to sell Timo Werner during this summer’s transfer window.
The Germany international forward has only arrived at Stamford Bridge from RB Leipzig earlier last summer and was a regular for the West London club during the 2020-21 season, playing 52 games in all competitions.
Werner has found back of the net 12 times and provided 15 assists during his first campaign with the Blues, however, only managed to find the back of the net on six occasions in the Premier League.
Thomas Tuchel’s team are believed to be keen to sign a new centre-forward in the summer, with Bayern Munich’s striker Robert Lewandowski and Borussia Dortmund’s star Erling Braut Haaland linked with moves, which would push the ex-Stuttgart youngster down the pecking order.
According to Sky Deutschland, the Blues have made contact with a number of leading European teams to determine whether they would be interested in securing the services of the 25-year-old forward.
Werner, who still has four years left to run on his current deal at Stamford Bridge, founded back of the net 95 times and provided 40 assists in 159 games for RB Leipzig before arriving in London.
