Chelsea reveal price tag for 27-year-old goalkeeper amid interest from Serie A giants

Chelsea are allegedly prepared to cash in on Kepa Arrizabalaga during this summer’s transfer market providing that they receive a proposal in the region of £50 million.

The Spaniard became the most expensive shot-stopper of all time when he switched to Stamford Bridge from Athletic Bilbao for £72 million back in 2018.

The 27-year-old star has largely struggled to make his mark with the Londoners, though, and is currently the second choice at the Premier League outfit behind Edouard Mendy.

Arrizablaga, who has made 13 appearances across all competitions at club level this term, still has over three years left to run on his deal with Chelsea.

According to the Daily Star, Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United, in addition to a host of La Liga clubs, are interested in the player, but the London-based giants have set an asking piece of £50 million.

The report states that the proposal of a loan with an obligation to buy could also be evaluated by the European Cup holders.

He has made 122 appearances for the Blues since arriving from Spanish football, and Kepa had a spell in the team in January due to the Senegal internaitonal’s involvement in the Africa Cup of Nations.
