Chelsea ready to launch £50m move for English midfielder
Chelsea have reportedly identified Birmingham City starlet Jude Bellingham as a potential signing during the summer transfer window.
Despite only turning 16 years of age this summer Bellingham has already played 28 games in the Championship, founding back of the net four times and provided two assists.
The emergence of the teenager has inevitably led to strong interest from the English top-tier including from the Red Devils who are believed to be ready to make a bid later back in 2020.
However, The Sun reports that the Blues are ready to rival the Red Devils for the midfielder’s services as they look to add another English talent to their ranks.
The report claims that the West London club are prepared to propose a £50m offer, which would involve a guaranteed £35m plus £15m with bonuses and it will be tough from Birmingham to turn down such an offer.
With Bellingham having less than 18 months left on his current deal, Birmingham are believed to agree to a sale before the beginning of the next season.
Meanwhile, Chelsea and Manchester United eyeing a move for highly-rated French forward Moussa Dembele as both are keen on to strengthen their offensive end ahead of the next season.
Done Deal: Chelsea confirm signing of 26-year-old prolific forward
Chelsea have agreed on a deal for the summer transfer of Morocco international forward Hakim Ziyech from Ajax.
The West London club have now confirmed personal terms with Morocco forward, who will join the Blues on July 1 for an initial fee of €40m.
Both Ajax and Chelsea confirmed the deal, with Frank Lampard securing his first signing as Stamford Bridge head-coach.
Chelsea were unable to make any new additions during the January transfer window, departing the manager frustrated not to strengthen their squad.
The 26-year-old attacker, who was named Dutch footballer of the year back in 2018, was one of Lampard’s main targets, however and Chelsea have moved quickly to lock down a contract for the Eredivisie forward, which should represent excellent value for the Blues.
“Chelsea Football Club has reached an agreement with Ajax to sign Hakim Ziyech this summer,” read a club statement.
“The move is subject to the player agreeing personal terms and he will remain at the Dutch club for the rest of this season.”
Morocco international has laid on more than 20 goals in the last three seasons, already teeing up 21 at Ajax this season. In his 160 games for the Eredivise side, he has found back of the net 49 times.
And Lampard wants the pacy forward to add an extra dimension to his squad.
The west London team saw their FIFA transfer ban lifted on appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), however, were unable to capitalise making additions last month.
The West London club could still net as much as £150million from their superstar Eden Hazard’s big-money switch to Real Madrid last summer and Lampard keen on to dip into those funds to strengthen his talented squad.
“Ajax and Chelsea have reached an agreement for the transfer of Hakim Ziyech,” Ajax confirmed in a statement.
“The player will join the Premier League club on July 1st 2020 and will finish the season in Amsterdam. The clubs have agreed a deal of 40 million euros. This sum could potentially increase to a maximum of 44 million euros, with variable factors.”
Chelsea eyeing move for 29-year-old Serie A midfielder
Serie A giants, Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey is reportedly on the radar of top Premier League teams Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool.
While the Wales international has only made the switch to Serie A earlier last summer, the 29-year-old playmaker has struggled to hold down a regular spot in Maurizio Sarri’s starting XI.
As a result of injuries and other options in the team, Welsh midfielder has played 16 games just eight starts and eight substitute appearances in the Italian top-tier.
According to The Mirror, this has resulted in Chelsea, Man Utd and Liverpool considering an offer for the Walse international midfielder.
Having signed Ramsey on a free transfer after his contract expired at Arsenal, Juventus may welcome the opportunity to make a quick profit from his transfer as Welshman has no future at Maurizio Sarri team as it seems thus far.
Ramsey has a deal with the Serie A giants until the end of the 2022-23 season.
Meanwhile, Ajax attacker Quincy Promes has emerged as a transfer target for Chelsea and Liverpool ahead of this summer’s transfer window.
The 28-year-old forward has joined the Eredivisie champions from La Liga outfits Sevilla last June and has been in stunning form during the 2019-20 season, founding back of the net 15 times in 24 games in all competitions.
According to Russian website Sport.ru, both Chelsea and Liverpool are currently tracking the pacy Dutch forward ahead of a potential move at the end of the current campaign.
