Chelsea and Man Utd eyeing move for 24-year-old Bundesliga midfielder

Manchester City reportedly intend to join the race to secure services of Borussia Monchengladbach midfield star Denis Zakaria and ready to rivals Chelsea and Man Utd for his services.

The Switzerland international has continued to enhance his reputation this campaign, helping his team to compete with Inter Milan and Real Madrid in their Champions League group.

Chelsea and Man Utd have previously been rumoured with the 24-year-old, who is expected to make a move to a bigger team in the future.

However, according to Fabrizio Romano’s Here We Go podcast, the Citizens will prioritise a bid for the player during the next summer transfer window.

Speaking on the podcast, Romano said: “Manchester City are focusing on Zakaria. He is so appreciated by the board, they are following him, they are in contact with his agent. So he’s for sure on the list of Manchester City.”

Zakaria has just 19 months left on his current deal with Monchengladbach and Man Utd see him as a perfect replacement to Nemanja Matic who is likely to depart from Old Trafford this summer, while Chelsea are in the market for N’Golo Kante’s possible replacement as Frenchman continue to be rumoured with a switch to Real Madrid.

Chelsea £120,000 a-week star could leave club on loan in January

Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi could reportedly be allowed to depart from Stamford Bridge on loan when the transfer window will be re-opened in January.

The 20-year-old has found back of the net three times in 12 games for the West London club this campaign, however, has found it tough to hold down a regular spot in the Premier League.

The England international was not even in the squad against Tottenham Hotspur last weekend, while he has played just 31 minutes of league football since the start of October.

Talented English forward was again rumoured with a move to German champions, Bayern Munich over the summer, however, the transfer window closed with the starlet still remaining at Stamford Bridge.

According to Eurosport, the Englishman’s agents are expected to hold talks with the Blues soon to determine the best course of action, and a January exit on a short-term spell is a possibility.

Hudson-Odoi has managed to found back of the net 11 times and provided 11 assists in 73 first-team games for the West London club, while he signed a new long-term deal with the London club in September 2019.

Chelsea are also planning to sell one of their left-back’s Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri in January.

Chelsea ready to listen offers for left-back pair in January

Chelsea are reportedly keen on to listen offers for both Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri during the January transfer window.

Both Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri were rumoured with exits over the summer, however, the deadline passed with the two left-back’s still at Stamford Bridge.

Ben Chilwell has become the Blues first-choice left-back since his arrival from Leicester City, and Emerson has made only one appearance in the Premier League for the Frank Lampard’s side.

Alonso has featured on three occasions in England’s top-tier, although the Spanish left-back has not been used since being replaced at the interval of the 3-3 draw with West Bromwich Albion at the end of September.

According to Goal, the West London club will attempt to sell a left-back at the start of 2021 as head coach Frank Lampard looks to trim his team.

Serie A champions Juventus and Inter Milan are believed to be keeping tabs on the developments surrounding both players.

Chelsea are unlikely to sell both of them in January in order keep Ben Chilwell under pressure, however, one of them is likely to be on his way out from the Stamford Bridge.
