Chelsea 23-year-old star demands to leave club in January

Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori has reportedly demanded to depart from Stamford Bridge on loan in January.

The 23-year-old centre-back has only played three games for the West London club during the 2020-21 season, while he has been handed just 44 minutes of Premier League action this term.

Leeds United and Newcastle United have been heavily linked with a loan move for the defender, however, a recent report suggested that a knee injury suffered by Andreas Christensen could see the Blues block a January exit.

Christensen’s injury is not as bad as first feared, though, with West London club, heead-coach Frank Lampard revealing that the Denmark international could be available for the clash with Fulham on January 15.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the 23-year-old defender has demanded to depart from Stamford Bridge during the winter window as he is determined to secure regular minutes in the second half of the campaign.

The England international has played 26 games for Chelsea in all competitions and was one of the key players for Frank Lampard last season , however, after  the arrival of Thiago Silva it has been clear that Zouma and Brazilian defender would be preferred option.

Liverpool are reportedly keeping tabs on any developments regarding the future of Strasbourg highly-rated defender Mohamed Simakan.

Despite having to deal with long-term injuries to Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk, the Merseyside Reds head-coach, Jurgen Klopp has dropped a hint that he will opt against adding a new defender to his team in January.

However, according to Telefoot, the Merseyside Reds are contemplating whether to make a bid for in-demand starlet Simakan.

The 20-year-old has already established himself as a vital player at Strasbourg, making a total of 18 starts in the French top-tier during the current season.

Chelsea have been rumoured with a future approach for the talented defender, while RB Leipzig and Serie A giants AC Milan are believed to be showing the strongest interest.

Simakan has two-and-a-half years left on his Strasbourg deal and it is believed that French club value him at £18m.

Chelsea see Simakan  as a perfect replacement for Fikayo Tomori who has been rumoured with a departure from Stamford Bridge in the current transfer window, while Liverpool wants to solve their defensive issues in order to retain their chances of defending the Premier League trophy.

West Ham United midfield destroyer Declan Rice is reportedly not interested in making switch to Manchester United despite transfer rumours.

The England international has been in stunning form for the Hammers during the 2020-21 season, making 18 appearances in all competitions, including every minute of his team’s Premier League campaign this far.

The Red Devils, alongside the Blues, are believed to be interested in securing the services of the 21-year-old in the near future, with 20-times English champions head-coach, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believed to be an admirer.

However, according to The Mirror, Declan Rice has told close friends that he is not interested in making a move to Manchester and wants to stay in London, either remaining with West Ham or potentially returning to Chelsea.

Rice, who is believed to be valued by his current side in the region of £80m, has a deal at the London Stadium until the summer of 2024.

Chelsea head-coach,  Frank Lampard is believed to be keen on the midfielder, however, senior figures at Stamford Bridge allegedly have reservations over a move.

Lampard has been recently under-fire for the Blues poor form and has been tipped to be axed from the job if they fail to improve their record. while Man Utd are on top of the Premier League table with 33-points.
