Premier League side Chelsea are preparing in a bid for Dortmund long-term Karamoko Dembele, according to a report the reports from British newspapers.

The Celtic wonderkid is one of the most sought after players in European football and has been on German giants, Dortmund radar since the summer of 2018.

The German giants enquired about him back then and are still showing interest, however, could be set to face competition from the Blues. London rivals Arsenal have also registered their strong interest.

If the Blues transfer ban gets lifted during the January transfer window, the Frank Lampard is keen to secure his services.

Scottish giants are likely to snub any sort of interest in their biggest asset, however, a move to the English top-tier could prove to be too enticing for Celtic wonderkid.

However, the incredible success of talented English players that have moved to Dortmund could also be a factor in Dembele’s decision.

The best thing for him to do currently is stay focused on playing and progressing.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are open to selling attacking duo Pedro and Olivier Giroud in the January transfer window, according to the reports.

The 33-year-old Frenchman has played only six games for Frank Lampard’s side this campaign and has been handed just one start in the English top-tier.

Pedro, meanwhile, has played eight appearances. However, his playing time in the English top-tier and the Champions League have also been strongly restricted.

Both players will see their deal with the Blues expire at the end of the current campaign.
