Wolverhampton Wanderers are expecting Chelsea to make an approach for Spanish winger Adama Traore, according to a report.
The 25-year-old forward has struggled to hit his best form under Nuno Espirito Santo last season, scoring only three goals and providing three assists from 41 games across all tournaments.
Nevertheless, Traore was selected in Spain’s Euro 2020 team and is believed to be the subject of interest from Thomas Tuchel’s side, which are now in a position to step up their pursuit of the attacker.
With Spain’s European Championship campaign ended after defeat to Italy in the semi-final, the Birmingham Mail claims that Wolves are anticipating the Blues to make their move soon.
The report also claims that Wolves are still holding out for a fee in excess of £40m for former Barcelona forward – whose deal won’t expire for another two years – however, the loan signing of Francisco Trincao from La Liga giants means that they are covered on the right-wing in the event of Traore’s departure.
The 25-year-old has only played 13 minutes for Spain at Euro 2020 as Luis Enrique preferred Ferrar Torres, Dani Olmo and Pablos Sarabia over him.
