Premier League giants Chelsea have reportedly offered AC Milan the chance to secure the services of out-of-favour forward Olivier Giroud when the transfer window will be re-opened in January.
The Frenchman has fallen behind Michy Batshuayi and Tammy Abraham in the pecking order, managing just four Premier League appearences thus far.
With Frenchman’s current contract with the Blues expiring at the end of the season and France playing in Euro 2020 next summer, Giroud is keen on to leave the club in order to play regular first-team football somewhere else and Serie A could be a perfect place to perform on top level.
According to Calcio Mercato, AC Milan have been presented the chance to secure the services of Giroud for a cut-price deal next month.
However, the Serie A side’s primary focus remains on securing the services of ex-striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic on an 18-month deal.
Reports have suggested that Inter Milan are another team to demonstrate a keen interest in securing the services of Giroud once January comes around, however, with the tough competition by Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku Frenchman himself is likely to be against to join his former manager Antonio Conte at San Siro.
