Chelsea reportedly intends to demand £27m if Serie A giants, Inter Milan up their interest in Emerson Palmieri.
With Marcos Alonso proving to be a vital player for the Blues when they play in a 3-4-3 formation, Frank Lampard is believed to favour retaining the services of the Spanish left-back next season.
That leaves Palmieri in a position where he may look a departure from Stamford Bridge and a return to Serie A after being left out of Lampard’s starting lineup makes more sense.
However, despite the full-back being linked with Inter, Tuttosport reports that Chelsea officials have no intention of allowing the Italian giants to secure the services of the 25-year-old for anything below his valuation.
The report points to tension between ex-Blues head-coach Antonio Conte and director Marina Granovskaia as the reason for Fran Lampard’s side alleged stance over the matter.
Palmieri has played just 53 games for the Blues since signing from AS Roma back in January 2018.
Chelsea academy product Reece James has been also tipped to have a more playing minute at the club meaning that the Blues likely to sell Palmieri ahead of the next season for the right price which is believed to be around £27m.
