Chelsea surprisingly lodged €60m bid for Wales international

According to a recent report from Eldesmarque, Chelsea have tabled a €60m offer to land Gareth Bale next summer transfer window. The Real Madrid star is said to be unsettled at the club after receiving poor treatment from manager Zinedine Zidane.

As a result, the Premier League heavyweights are ready to rope in the Welshman back to England by offering Los Blancos a total of €60 million.

Bale has played an important role behind Real Madrid’s unrivalled success in Europe under the French coach. But, in the past couple of years, Wales international has struggled with a lack of fitness and has suffered a number of injury problems. As a result, he has not played a lot of football.

It is also the reason why the likes of Lucas Vazquez, Marco Asensio and Vinicius Junior made their breakthroughs at the Santiago Bernabeu. Bale was even linked with a transfer away from the club in the summer transfer market, but nothing really materialised.

This campaign, however, Bale has played a vital role in spite of the apparent bad blood between him and Zidane. The former Tottenham star has already featured in six league games, being involved in four goals.

His contributions in the attack have helped Los Blancos stay at the top of the La Liga table. That being said, Bale still wants to de[art the club and Chelsea, in that regard, has appeared as a potential destination.
