Crystal Palace have reportedly set their sights on securing the services of Chelsea playmaker Conor Gallagher, who spent last campaign on loan at West Bromwich Albion.
The 21-year-old’s loan move to the Hawthorns was his third loan switch in two campaign, after spending spells in the Championship with Charlton Athletic and Swansea City during the 2019-20 season.
In his debut Premier League campaign with the Baggies, Gallagher found back of the net twice and provided as many assists in 30 games, however, with West Brom’s relegation to the Championship, he will be looking for top-flight football next term.
According to football.london, Gallagher is unlikely to stay with the Blues upon his return to the team this summer, and he could seek Premier League football with a move across London to Selhurst Park.
It is claimed that Steve Parish is lining up a £15m bid for the youngster, and the Crystal Palace chairman hopes that their pursuit of Frank Lampard to be the next head-coach for the Eagles can be linked with getting a deal for Gallagher over the line.
The England Under-17 World Cup winning midfielder has joined Chelsea at the age of eight, however, is yet to make his senior debut for the Blues despite signing a new five-year deal last summer.
