January 12, 2019

Ex-Chelsea forward Tony Cascarino has told his former team to consider a move for West Ham United star Marko Arnautovic when the transfer window will be re-opened in January.

Speaking to talkSPORT, :“You know the one player I’d really want to take? Arnautovic – I’d take him in a heartbeat. I think he’d fit perfectly into Chelsea.

“The thing with Arnautovic – he reminds me of that Eric Cantona mindset. He thinks he’s good enough to be up there at the top table, and he is.

The Blues are looking increasingly likely to sign a new forward in the new year and have been linked with big money move for Gonzalo Higuain and Bournemouth forward Callum Wilson.

Arnautovic has been rumoured with moves away from the London stadium, however, talks surrounding his future have cooled in recent weeks

The Austrian was supposedly a target for Jose Mourinho who has been sacked from his Manchester United job.

The 29-year-old has found back of the net five times in the English top-tier his season and registered a further two assists in the process.

Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud continues to struggle in front of goal at Stamford Bridge, meaning Eden Hazard is being forced to play as a false no.9.
