Confirmed: Man Utd key man set to face Tottenham

January 11, 2019

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hopes Paul Pogba will be available for selection when travelling to Tottenham at the weekend.

Manchester United’s clash against Spurs is Solskjaer’s first major test as caretaker boss, and the Norwegian will want his in-form midfielder to be fit.

Premier League giants flew out to Dubai this week for a warm-weather training camp, but Paul Pogba remained behind to receive treatment.

‘Marcos (Rojo) has gone back home because his injury is taking a bit longer than we thought,’ he told United’s official website. ‘Fred’s partner is expecting a baby, and Paul Pogba has had his knock and has had a few days of treatment back home. Hopefully, we can get Paul on his feet during this week.’

While the France international is on track to play against Spurs, Marcos Rojo has been sent home for further treatment on an unspecified injury.

The Red Devils are eager to make a statement against Tottenham, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer aiming for his sixth win.

Paul Pogba’s transformation under the Norwegian has seen the midfielder score four goals in four games and provide three assists in those matches.
