According to the L’Equipe, Paris Saint Germain’s sporting director Antero Henrique has made contact with the agent of Fabinho as talks with Manchester United drag on.
The League 1 giants are desperate to sign the versatile Brazilian from their Ligue 1 rivals Monaco after a series of impressive performances from the 23-year-old last season.
PSG’s approach could prove to be a massive blow for the Red Devils, who are still holding talks with Fabinho’s entourage as they look to secure a deal.
United head coach Jose Mourinho is keen to build a side he hopes will challenge for the Premier League title next term and considers Fabinho’s versatility as a major selling point.
However, according to RMC Sport, neither Man United nor PSG have agreed a fee with AS Monaco, with the saga set to drag on.
It’s already been a busy start to the summer at Old Trafford, with Nemanja Matic set to join the club after the arrival of Swedish defender Victor Lindelof.
But with a Champions League season coming up, as well as the need to challenge for the title, United’s Portuguese manager is still desperate to recruit more high-quality players – with Fabinho fitting the bill.
