Manchester United are preparing a mega fresh contract offer for France international Anthony Martial reportedly worth a staggering £45m over five years, including bonuses.
French winger’s Old Trafford career had seemed likely to come to end over the summer, after reports of several fall outs with Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho.
However, the 22-year-old star has been in fine form this campaign and has scored five goals in his last four Premier League games for a rejuvenated Red Devils side.
That has prompted the club’s hierarchy to try and push through a new contract for the former AS Monaco player, with the report in The Sun stating that Martial will be offered a five-year deal worth £190,000-a-week.
The forward is said to have recently turned down £160,000-per-week, despite wanting to stay in Manchester, while Manchester United could also opt to extend his deal by a further 12 months to prevent Frenchman walking away on a free next summer.
However, it is understood that negotiations will begin this week over the multi-year contract and it will all be sealed by the time the Christmas period comes around.
