Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard has recently confirmed that he will commit his long-term future to defending Premier League champions by signing a new contract.

The 27-year-old forward who has been at Stamford Bridge since 2012, has repeatedly been linked with a switch to La Liga giants Real Madrid in the recent years.

Hazard has flirted with the idea of making a move to European champions, often heaping praise from their current manager Zinedine Zidane, however, has now finally confirmed he would commit his future to Chelsea.

He also claimed that his new deal would come after goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, another reported target for Real Madrid will sign a contract extension with the West London club.

Asked whether he put pen on a paper, Belgian superstar has told the Daily Mirror: ‘Yes. I think Thibaut first. Then I will sign.’

Eden Hazard’s statement will come as a huge relief for the fans of Chelsea, who were becoming increasingly fearful he would leave to sign for Real Madrid.

The 27-year-old, who has won two Premier League trophies, has two years left on his current deal and Stamford Bridge are said to be willing to make him the highest paid player in the English top tier.
