Liverpool are reportedly set to win the race for highly-rated Polish midfielder Kacper Kozlowski.

The 17-year-old has already established himself as a regular for Ekstraklasa outfit Pogon Szczecin and has already scored one goal and three assists from 20 league games last season.

Kozlowski’s emergence saw him rewarded with a spot in Poland’s Euro 2020 squad – becoming the youngest player ever to feature at the tournament – and he was previously rumoured with a move to Liverpool’s bitter rivals, Manchester United over the summer.

However, The Mirror reports that the Merseyside Reds are set to beat their rivals as well as German outfits, Bayer Leverkusen, RB Leipzig AC Milan and Red Bull Salzburg to the midfielder’s services.

The report claims that Pogon Szczecin are expected to resist offers for Polish midfielder in January, however, the Reds will seek to secure his services in the summer of 2022.

Kozlowski boasts two goals and one assist from eight leagues appearances this term and is set to become a free agent in 2023.

Liverpool meanwhile, also planning to explosive winger, Moussa Diaby from Bundesliga giants, Bayer Leverkusen.
