Everton have reportedly reached an agreement with Chelsea to sign Kurt Zouma on a season-long loan deal for 2018/19 campaign.
The French defender has spent last campaign on loan at Stoke City that have been relegated from the Premier League and faced an uncertain future under new head-coach Maurizio Sarri, with Andreas Christensen, Cesar Azpilicueta, Antonio Rudiger, Gary Cahill and David Luiz all are ahead of him in the pecking order.
Reports emerged yesterday that the both Everton and Manchester United were interested in securing the services of 23-year-old, with the Reds thought to be keen on a permanent deal for French defender.
However, Chelsea are believed to prefer a loan, and L’Equipe now suggested that they have agreed on terms with Everton over a season-long deal for the Frenchman.
Personal terms are still yet to be agreed between the two parties, though, with the Merseyside Blues attempting to push through a deal before the 5pm deadline this afternoon.
Any move for 23-year-old defender could see Everton to strengthen their centre-back position with Barcelona defender Yerry Mina, who has also joined the Merseyside Blues last night alongside with another Barcelona star Andre Gomes.
