Arsenal prodigy Emile Smith Rowe looks to become the latest English youngster to move to the Bundesliga by joining RB Leipzig on loan until the end of the campaign, according to the Independent.
Terms have been agreed between both sides for the 18-year-old and he will finalise the move before the transfer deadline so long as the star passes a medical.
The 18-year-old is regarded as one of the Gunners’ brightest young talents and has broken into the senior-team squad this season, making six appearances in all competitions and netting three goals.
However, with competition in Arsenal’s midfield fierce, coach Unai Emery is happy to let him join RB Leipzig on a temporary basis with the Bundesliga club giving Arsenal assurances that he will play.
Once the reported deal has been completed, Smith Rowe will become the second Gunners player to join a Bundesliga club on loan this camapign, following Reiss Nelson’s move to Hoffenheim in August.
Reiss has enjoyed a productive spell in German football, netting six goals in the Bundesliga and featuring for Hoffenheim in five UCL matches, including against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
He isn’t the only English youngster making a name for himself abroad as Jadon Sancho has appeared as one of Europe’s hottest properties since joining Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund in 2017.
