According to the Italian media, Juventus have made a £22.5m (€25m) bid for Liverpool central midfielder Emre Can.
The 23-year-old Can is into the final year of his contract deal at the Merseyside club and has not yet agreed fresh terms.
Liverpool are trying to tie the Germany international down to an extension, but so far negotiations have been unsuccessful.
And now, the reports from Corriere dello Sport claim that Juve have submitted an offer of £22.5m (€25m) for Can.
The Serie A winners are in the market for a new midfielder and they have set their sights on the German.
Liverpool are in no mood to part with Can this summer – but they could be tempted to cash in for the right price.
Meanwhile, La Liga giants Barcelona have set aside £120m to make a move for Liverpool attacking midfielder Philippe Coutinho.
The Catalan club have been left reeling from the exit of their key superstar Neymar, who left Camp Nou for Paris Saint-Germain last week.
However, Barcelona are now in a position to spend big money on a replacement after PSG paid a world-record £200m transfer fee to recruit the 25-year-old Brazilian.
Philippe Coutinho has been linked with a move to Camp Nou all summer and the reports from Daily Star claim that the La Liga giants will test Liverpool’s resolve with the triple-figure bid in the coming days.
The 25-year-old Coutinho only signed a new long-term deal with the Merseyside club earlier this year, contracting him at Anfield until 2022.
