Real Madrid have reportedly pulled out of the running to land Chelsea centre-back Antonio Rudiger, according to the latest reports.
The 28-year-old star will be out of contract at the end of the campaign and talks to pen an extension with the Blues have stalled.
Los Blancos, Juventus, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain have all opened discussions to snap him up on a free transfer this summer.
But according to Marca, the Galacticos have already given up on bringing in the Germany international as he’s demanding a deal worth £200,000 a week.
The report adds that Carlo Ancelotti’s side are not willing to match that figure and think their current defensive pairing of Eder Militao and David Alaba is the best in Europe.
It’s also stated that Antonio has already spoken with multiple players in the club’s squad about switching to the Spanish capital but the La Lig giants have not progressed negotiations with the defender’s agent.
Elsewhere, the Blues may reportedly have fallen behind in the hunt to sign Belgian prodigy Charles De Ketelaere with their Premier League rivals Leicester City understood to be “very interested” in him, it is claimed.
Foot Mercato’s Santi Aouna states Leicester “should make an offer” for the Belgian. He tweeted: “Leicester is very interested in Charles De Ketelaere from Club Brugge KV.
“Scouted on numerous occasions, the Foxes should make an offer for the Belgian prodigy for next summer.”
